Break into a car during story mode to unlock it in
free ride mode.

Win first place in all races in racing championship

Car selection in free ride mode:
As soon as you enter free ride mode, you will start
in a car with a reddish gate directly behind you. Drive forward
so that you are in the street, then reverse right back to the
location you started. A car selection screen will appear, and
you can select any unlocked car.
Time selection in free ride mode:
Finish story mode to unlock the day and night options
in free ride mode.
Easy money:
Blow up cars for $100 each.
Drive taxis to earn money.
Kill the men in the all black suits with the black
hat (gangsters) to earn $500 each.
Go into the country and speed in a fast car.
Shoot off tires:
Aiming at tires and shooting where the bolts are, in
the middle. This works best with the Tommy gun.
Baseball bat:
To get a baseball bat in free ride mode, look inside a taxi because someone
will always have one.
Quick gun:
While driving through the city, you will encounter many police
officers. You can run one of them down and pick up his standard
issued gun. Your wanted level will go up, but immediately diminish.
This works best if there is only one police officer, on foot,
with no police officer witnesses.
In free ride mode, taxi drivers and sometimes regular motorists
will carry the small brown revolver and the small silver revolver.
Pull them out of their cars and kill them to get the weapon.
Killing people in black suits:
Walk behind them and shoot them. This works best with the sawed
off shotgun.
Use a car for killing them and run them over. When they drop their
weapons, they are dead.
When they are on the street, use the machine gun to spray them
in the back. If done correctly, they will not even have a chance
to turn around.
Lose cops quickly:
Get to a rail station, elevated rail station, or trolley. Get
in and wait until your wanted level goes down.
The most efficient way to evade the police is make a lot of turns.
The best turns are in front of or behind another car or the trolley.
The police will try to make your exact turn, but will run into
the car or trolley. You can also make turns between light posts
close to the curb if your car is small or short enough. This also
works well during the first mission.
If you have a gun and the cops are after you, you can get rid
of them by shooting them. This takes some practice, but it can
be done. You have to be on foot. Shoot both cops until their weapons
fall. Head shots work best. If you manage to kill both advancing
officers, you will no longer be wanted. This works best if there
is only one car after you (the offense does not matter). The more
the cars, the more difficult it is.
Whenever being chased by cops there are cars that in the distance
generate to keep the traffic normal. Press R2 + L2
and the cars in the distance will disappear. This is useful when
you get a new car and want to drive it as fast as possible.
Better Get Used To It: Bucket weapon:
Vincenzo gives you a bat and a gun. Turn around and
pick up the bucket that is in the room. You can use it as a weapon,
and it is easier to control than the bat.
Créme de la Créme:
Easy completion:
To easily complete the mission, just ride alongside
Morello's limo. Sam and Paulie will shoot through the glass with
their Tommy guns and kill Morello without having to enter the
airport.
Election Campaign: No chase:
On the level that you assassinate the politician, at
the end before you leave the prison, make sure you have killed
everyone then waste all of your ammunition. By doing this, when
you walk out into the street the man that searches you will say
"You're clean. Sorry to waste your time", and you can
get to the bar without being chased.
Just For Relaxation: Getting the
cigar crates:
When the boss tells you he is going to the bathroom,
follow him. He will walk up to a tree. Take out the crowbar you
got from the truck driver then hit the boss. He will usually go
down with one swing. Then, walk back to the cigar crates. The
man with the Thompson does not know that the crate should not
be touched. Then, just drive the truck back to Paulie and Sam.
Ordinary Routine: Tommy gun:
When you climb your way to the top door, go in and
walk to the end of the hall. Open the door labeled "WC"
and kill the man in there. Then go to the closed door parallel
to where you came in. It is unlocked. Open it and enter. There
is a box with health inise, and a Tommy gun on the bed.
When you enter the dock, get a truck and drive to the
other entrance to the harbor. Nearby, there is a house with a
man. Kill him. He has a US rifle, which you should use to shoot
the round fuel containers near the crane towers. The snipers will
not shoot you, and you will get to see a really great fireworks
display.
You Lucky Bastard: Thomson gun:
When you have to take Pauly to kill Segerio Morello
and must escape instead of running, get out of the car and kill
all of your enemies. Search all their bodies. From one of them,
you will get a Thomson 1928 which is useful at the harbor.
Huge drop:
Go to free ride mode and go to the countryside. You
will start in some dirt and. To the right, there will be a hill.
Go up the hill and follow the road. Keep going straight until
you reach a bridge. Go straight for awhile until you see a small
brown shack on your left. Notice that next to the shack is an
opening in the fence. Drive right off. It is big cliff. If you
land wrong you can die on impact.
