Using cheat
mode:
After pausing the game, push Square,
Square, Circle, Circle, L1, R1. You will hear a sound if you have entered
the code correctly. Now push L1 + L2 + R1 + R2.
The BALL CANNON (set pitch physics) and GAME STATE (edit game parameters)
options will now be unlocked.
Pitching:)
There are about 27 different throws you can make. Each pitcher has between 3-6
different pitches to choose from. You can change the direction of the throw by
moving the directional pad in different directions. But remember its hard to
tell where you are aiming because there isn't any on-screen cursors.
Mixing up pitches, locations, and paces
are relatively important in this 3DO title.
Hall of Fame:)
By choosing this selection in the options menu you can play a more realistic
games (unlike the default difficulty). For instance, under this difficulty
Barry Bonds will be walked at least once every game. In other words player
trends will be consistent with their abilities in real life.
Fielding:)
As a new addition to this year's version of the game, 3DO has included
fielding rankings for every position. Therefore you can be hurt by playing a
player out of position.
Tuning variables:)
The tuning menu gives you access to over 20 game variables ranging from runner
speed to frequency of foul balls.
