Dante's Combos:
Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle performs the standard combo, the
last hit blows easier enemies back.
Triangle, Triangle, Direction pad (towards),
Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle performs a complex 6 hit combo. It
encompasses 2 strikes, 3 sideways slashes, and an immense final blow.
Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Direction pad
(towards), Triangle, Triangle performs a
triple strike, then slams your opponent into the ground and spikes him into
the air via High Time.
Dante's Diesel bonus level and costume:
You must play as Dante in mission 1 and save your game. After resetting
the PlayStation2 , wait for the PRESS START message to re-appear. Push L3,
R3, L1, R1, L2, R2, L3, R3.
You will hear a sound if you have entered the code correctly. Push Start
to go back the main menu. Pick the LOAD GAME option, push L1 or R1
to access the new costume, then load a game to play the bonus level.
Lucia's Diesel bonus level and costume:

Gold Orbs:
Gives you life when you die. It is explained as a
crystal generated by immortals with the power of
resurrection.
Red Orbs:
Gives you more power. It is explained as a
crystal with condensed demon blood.
Get alternate costumes for Dante:
Finish the game with Dante to unlock an
alternate costume. Finish the game in Dante Must Die mode to unlock another
costume for him.
Get alternate costumes for Lucia:
Finish the game with Lucia to unlock an
alternate costume for her. Finish the game with Lucia under hard difficulty to
unlock another costume for her. Finish the game in Lucia Must Die mode to
unlock a third costume for her.
Bloody Palace mode:
Finish the game with Dante and Lucia to
unlock Bloody Palace mode.
Dante Must Die mode:
Finish the game with Dante under hard
difficulty.
Lucia Must Die mode:
Finish the game with Lucia under hard
difficulty.
Play as Trish:
Finish the game with Dante under hard
difficulty. Trish has Dante's stats and items and starts with the Sparda.
Hard difficulty:
Finish the game with Dante and Lucia.
Level select:
Finish the game as either character under any
difficulty.
Mission 1: Secret level:
Enter the big doors to the right of the
pillar where the Puia (flying harpies) first appear in Mission 1.
Go through the level until you see a wall with a
face. Press Circle and you should enter a secret room.
Mission 7: Secret level:
At the very end of the mission, before
entering the door that leads to the roof, press Circle at the door to
the left.
Ultimate Devil Trigger:
To do the Ultimate Devil Trigger into Sparda
demon form, press L1 when Dante's life bar is low. The Sparda form is
incredibly strong and deals huge damage.
Easier combos:
Use sword combos as much as possible. If an
enemy is too far away for you to instantaneously attack them, use your
arsenal/guns until you get close enough to use your sword(s) on them to keep
the combo rating lit.
Quick recovery:
When hit and thrown to the ground, push Circle as soon as you hit
the ground and you will immediately bounce back up.
Have Dante shoot projectiles:
When you are in Devil Trigger, push Triangle, Triangle, then
quickly push Triangle + Analog-stick. If performed correctly,
Dante will shoot out a lot projectiles which look like arrows. The color of
these arrows will differ depending on the amulet you picked.
secret rooms mission 2:
#1. In the room where you get
all the red orbs from the floating thing there are coffins. Go to the one
behind the floating thing and press O. #2. In the room where you the blue and
white globe with the little things you turn purple there are more coffins. Go
to the one to the left of that globe and press O.
