Unlock Pyron:
Defeat Pyron in arcade mode. Note: You will also unlock
his stage.
To unlock Pyron, play through the game with the default game settings
and defeat Pyron.
Fight against Ingrid:
Win each round of your first three matches with at
least one perfect finish.
Fight against Shin Akuma:
Successfully complete the game once with each character,
except for Pyron. Shin Akuma will appear after Pyron is defeated
when using a team containing your last set of characters.
Unlock Shin Akuma:
Defeat Shin Akuma in arcade mode.
Classic character sound themes:
Successfully complete the game to unlock classic themes
for the characters used in the "Sounds" option. To unlock
Shin Akuma's music, defeat Pyron as Shin Akuma.
Select victory pose:
Press a
Kick
or
Punch
button after winning
a round to change your victory pose.
Switch starting characters:
Between matches, hold two
Kick
buttons. When
the match begins, you can start the round with your second selected
character instead of your first.
Progressive scan mode video:
Hold Triangle + X when the starts loading. You will prompted to
switch to progressive scan video. Note: Enabling this option with a display that
does not support it will make the screen non-viewable.
Original music:
After you complete the game and unlock everything (all characters and theme
songs), you can then hold Square. During the matches you will hear the
theme song of your opponent. However if you die, you must do it again after the
enemy's speech. Hold Square and select your characters Note: This will
give away who you are going to fight in the next round because of the pause of
the music.
Character references:
UnderWorld: You can see B.B. Hood behind a coffin. She
keeps peeking out.
New York: You can see Ken, Charlie, T. Hawk, Cody, D.J,,
Hugo, Cammy, Sean, Birdie and a picture of Soddom.
HongKong: Yang is sitting down and Fei Long can be seen
standing by the boat.
Japan: E. Honda, Ibuki, Makoto, Dan, Maki, and a picture
of Cammy on the billboard.
Maynmar: Sagat, Adon, Dalhsim
Jungle: Oro (in the sleeping bag), Blanka jumps in the
lake
